Move over Bachelorette. Step aside Millionaire Matchmaker. There’s a new reality star in Hollywood. This Fall, probiotics will take their rightful place in the spotlight when they star in a new series of TV documentaries, the first of which will be screened on the National Geographic and Discovery channels, along with Public Service Broadcasting outlets and European and Asian networks. The first documentary, entitled Probiotics – Micro Warriors of the Digestive Tract, was created to educate consumers and healthcare professionals, says series executive producer David Knight.
“There’s a lot of confusion about probiotics and we are on an educational mission,” he said. “We aim to tell people what they are and how they work with advanced animation graphics. But this won’t be a stiff science show – as well as being educational it will also be engaging and entertaining.”
The film will feature interviews with leading scientific and medical experts including Dr Eamonn Quigley, president of the World Gastroenterology Organization. Patient testimony and easy-to-digest scientific information will round things out.
Why not throw a viewing party for your friends? You can all dress as your favorite strain of healthy bacteria (Lactobacillusacidophiluslooks like this) and serve a buffet of Lifeway kefir products (sipping lowfat Pomegranate out of a chilled martini glass is always fun!) Print out some bugs for kids to color and offer a prize of our new BioKefir as a prize for the prettiest one!
We’ll be tuning in…will you?
