Eating Double-Stuffed Oreos and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup ice cream might make you feel all beautiful and glowy on the inside (temporarily at least), but those fat bombs won’t do your body and good. To help yourself look beautiful on the outside, you’ve got to feed yourself clean, whole foods. And according to the January issue of In Style Magazine (Whitney Houston is on the cover), kefir is one of the best ways to do just that.
A story entitled, “Eat your way gorgeous” lists kefir as one of the top 10 foods you can use to help rev up your looks. Why does it make you pretty? According to Nicholas Perricone, MD, the probiotics in tangy kefir cleanse the digestive tract, and make the skin appears clearer and more luminous. Other top beauty foods cited in the article included kale, wild salmon, acai, quinoa, lobster, artichoke, strawberries, sweet potatoes, and chia seeds.
