Kefir is Coming: A Probiotic Game of Thrones

Summer is coming, or rather, it's here… which can mean only one thing: season two of Game of Thrones has come to an end. We have a long wait until season three begins, so we thought we’d have a little fun imagining which Lifeway Kefir our favorite characters would most enjoy. There are hundreds of characters in George R. R. Martin’s epic series, so the possibilities are endless. Here are just a few of our ideas, feel free to add your own in the comments!

Tyrion Lannister

Tyrion Lannister – Let’s start with the most obvious, shall we? We imagine Tyrion to be a fan of BioKefir. Much like clever Tyrion, BioKefir is small, but mighty. Arya Stark – Fiercely independent, Eddard Stark’s youngest daughter leaves the sewing and daydreaming about marrying a prince to her older sister Sansa. For Arya, it’s sword fighting, chasing cats and sass-mouthing all the way! We can just picture her with a ProBugs in her hand, talking about “good bugs” at the dinner table, repulsing Sansa with stories about intestinal flora. Plus, the pouch is spill-proof – perfect for snacking on while she practices with Needle in the courtyard.

Danerys Targaryen – Danerys Stormborn, Mother of Dragons, might be young, but she’s as fierce as any warrior and as wise as a woman three times her age. Her old soul leads us to believe she would be a fan of Ryazhenka, our traditional cooked milk kefir. Just as Danerys blends Targaryen nobility with Dothraki customs to become a legendary leader, ryazhenka blends old country flavor with Lifeway’s modern methods to create a special kefir that people love. Say “ryazhenka” out loud and it even sounds kind of Dothraki!
